More than just another haunted house movie, TRESPASS represents a unique approach to the genre.
Set against the backdrop of a group of Urban Explorers infiltrating an abandoned mansion, the film examines what happens when ego and the pursuit of social media fame jeopardises not just friendships, but the lives of others.
TRESPASS capitalises on the interest shown in its actual location, Mountfield House, and an incursion there by real life Urban Explorers, achieving a staggering 17m You Tube views.
Building on the recent success of its award-winning director Darren S. Cook, TRESPASS will be filmed partly on location at Mountfield House.
WHAT IS URBAN EXPLORATION?
Becoming more popular in recent years. Urban Exploration (sometimes known as urbex, UE or building hacking) is the activity or hobby of exploring man-made structures, especially disused and decaying buildings and areas generally off-limits to the general public.
These can include abandoned mansions, schools, hospitals, asylums, factories or government/military installations. The more derelict and off-limits, the better.
Urban explorers typically record heir expeditions with video or photographs, with kudos earned by being the first to infiltrate and document a particular location.
It's an activity, however, that presents numerous risks, including both physical danger and, if done illegally or without permission, possible arrest for trespass.
